Here is a description of how the buttons and arrows work on top of the iPad and iPhone lessons, from left to right:
- Lesson Segment Menu - choose the segment of the lesson
- Left Arrow - back to the previous lesson segment
- Play Button - plays the lesson
- Right Arrow - forward to the next lesson segment
Two Hands - Piano Demo (computer playback on the in-app keyboard) with the option of left hand, right hand, or both hand demonstration.
Circling Arrows - Loop Feature which allows you to select specific measures to practice on a continuous loop.
Speedometer - Options for 3 preset practice tempos: Normal, Slow, and Very Slow, with an option below to set a custom tempo.
- Three Lines - A drop down menu with options to toggle and adjust the following, see descriptions below:
- Metronome - Tempo Clicks
- Backing Track - the musical accompaniment that goes along with the piece
- Count In - toggles the 1, 2, Set, Go
- Metronome Volume - how loud or soft you would like to hear the tempo clicks while you play
- Backing Track Volume - how loud or soft you would like to hear the accompaniment
- Piano Volume - how loud or soft you would like the in-app piano tone/piano demo
- Notation Zoom - increases or decreases the size of the notation
- Finger Numbers - toggles the suggested fingerings for the music
- Note Names - letter names of notes for the music
- Instant Feedback -enables feedback on accuracy: notes played correctly will turn green, notes played incorrectly will turn red, and notes played rhythmically close will turn pink. You will receive a score at the end of the piece.
- Keyboard - display of the on-screen keyboard
